Commission on Population and Development-National Capital Region (POPCOM-NCR), Regional Director Lydio Espanol, Jr. and DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes Agustin signed the Joint Regional Memorandum Circular (JRMC) 2020-01 for the use of the Gender and Development (GAD) Database last December 14.
The JRMC enjoins Local Chief Executives and stakeholders to utilize the GAD database for gender-responsive planning, programming, and policy formulation. The database is a joint venture of the said agencies as part of its efforts for gender mainstreaming in localities.
The GAD database features integrated Population and Development (POPDEV) and Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) indicators for evidence-based planning.
LGUs will have a ready reference in the technical review of the GAD plans and budgets through the database; it can also be used to monitor and evaluate gender mainstreaming at the local level. Sex and age-disaggregated data and other information to identify and analyze gender issues to create gender-responsive programs, projects, and activities is also available in the database.
LGUs can access the database, which complies with the Data Privacy Act requirements via the DILG-NCR website (ncr.dilg.gov.ph). #
